BIS Registration & ISI Mark.
Legalize Your Products.
Navigate complex Bureau of Indian Standards testing. Whether you manufacture electronics, toys, or import goods, we handle end-to-end certification.
BIS CRS Certification
Compulsory Registration Scheme for IT, Electronics, Solar, and Smart devices.
- Product Testing Coordination (BIS Lab)
- Form-I Application Preparation
- Authorized Indian Rep (AIR) guidance
- R-Number Issuance
ISI Mark Certification
Mandatory for Toys, Footwear, Cement, Steel, Electrical Appliances, and Food products.
- Scheme-I Application Filing
- Pre-Audit Factory Inspection Prep
- In-House Lab Testing Advisory
- CM/L Number Issuance
Why is BIS Certification Mandatory?
The Bureau of Indian Standards ensures that products sold in India meet strict quality and safety thresholds. It is illegal to bypass this for notified products.
Mandatory Customs Clearance
If you are importing electronics, toys, or specific machinery into India, customs authorities will seize and hold your consignment at the port indefinitely if the products do not have a valid BIS registration number (CRS) or ISI Mark.
Sell on E-Commerce Platforms
Major online marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata Cliq strictly mandate sellers to upload their BIS Registration certificates before listing electronic gadgets, toys, or footwear to comply with government safety norms.
Qualify for Govt Tenders (GeM)
To sell physical goods to government departments or public sector undertakings (PSUs) through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), an ISI mark is a basic prerequisite, proving your product meets Indian Standards (IS).
Avoid Legal Penalties
Selling notified goods without a BIS mark is a violation of the BIS Act, 2016. Penalties include confiscation of goods, massive fines starting from ₹2 Lakhs (or 10x the product value), and potential imprisonment for the directors.
Our End-to-End Registration Process
BIS is highly technical. We bridge the gap between your factory, the testing lab, and the government portal.
Step 1: Document Review & Lab Setup
We analyze your product specifications, map them to the correct Indian Standard (IS) code, and generate a test request to a BIS-recognized NABL lab.
Step 2: Product Testing
You send product samples to the lab. The lab conducts rigorous testing to ensure safety and quality standards. Once passed, a Test Report is issued.
Step 3: Portal Application & Fee
Within 90 days of the test report, we compile your factory documents, AIR details, and file the formal application on the BIS CRS/ISI portal.
Step 4: Audit & Certificate Generation
(For ISI only) A BIS officer conducts a physical factory audit. Once approved, the Registration Number (R-No) or CM/L number is issued.
Required Documents
Unlike simple tax registrations, BIS requires substantial technical and facility documentation.
Business Entity Proof
Certificate of Incorporation, MSME (Udyam), GST Certificate, and PAN.
Factory Information
Factory Layout Plan, List of Machinery, and details of in-house testing facilities.
Product Specifications
User Manual, PCB Layout, Schematic Diagrams, and Critical Component List (CCL).
Trademark Certificate
Brand Name Registration Certificate or Authorization letter from the Brand Owner.
Don't have a Registered Trademark?
BIS strictly requires the brand name under which you are selling the product to be legally registered or applied for in India to prevent counterfeit certifications.
